Intro: The given pie charts present information about the present and future population age ranges for 3 age brackets at the start and end of a 50-year period, from 2000 to 2050.

"We open with another magnificent paraphrasing of the task. Look at all of these wonderful contrasts: "present" and "future"; "start" and "finish"."

P1: According to the charts, in 2000 in Yemen, just over 50% of people were aged between 0 to 14 years whereas in Italy the majority of the population was between 15-59 years old (61.6%). The minority age demographic was also different in both countries, comprising 3.6% in Yemen, while in Italy this figure occupied the other end of the age spectrum at just over 14%.

"We then get a bit more specific in the third paragraph with an opening reference back to the charts "According to...". Take note of the precise terms in use when describing the percentages and figures ("minority", "just over", "comprising", etc."

P2: Differences can also be observed in the projections for 2050. The percentage of younger people is expected to decrease to 37% in Yemen and 11.5% in Italy. By contrast, the figure for the elderly is projected to increase significantly in Italy to just over 42% and rise by about 2% in Yemen. While there will be more middle-aged people in Yemen (57.3%), this figure will decline in Italy to 46.2%. percent, percentage, increase, decrease, from, to, compare age brackets from one time to another and between countries.

"We finish off our graph description with a look to the future. Observe how we have connected to the previous paragraph with "also". We continue to use specific terms to describe trends and percentages. Note the comparisons made BETWEEN the countries as well as the age groups, and our skillful use of brackets and the phrase "by contrast"

Conclusion: Overall, it is clear that there will be significant shifts in the populations in both countries. While in Yemen the medium-range population will expand, there will be more older people in Italy. It is also notable that in both countries the middle group will account for the majority of the population.

"Our overall statement starts with the reminder of "overall", an old classic, before moving into more comparing and contrasting with "while...,...". Note the use of the word "notable" to focus on another key trend."
